Our Staff
John Greeno founded NECS in 2007. He has held many energy efficiency and renewable energy positions during his career, and has won awards for his work in residential energy conservation. For the past 25 years, John has worked in the energy conservation programs in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and has helped to create and manage conservation programs at ConnSave, Connecticut Light and Power, Western Massachusetts Electric and NECS. His undergraduate studies were at Johns Hopkins University.
Brent Borgnine co-founded NECS in 2007. He has worked in the mold remediation and duct cleaning business for many years, bringing another level of expertise to NECS building science knowledge. He is certified as a Ventilation System Mold Remediator (VSMR) and was certified by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association as a NADCA Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS). He has 30 years of retail store management and operational experience, and understands the issues and challenges faced by business and property owners. Brent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at NECS, and hires and supervises our rapidly-growing team of Energy Technicians. Brent attended Quinnipiac University.
Gail Spence has a BS in Residential Energy Conservation, and since 1982, has worked with the residential, commercial, municipal, medical, industrial, water- and wastewater-treatment sectors to save energy. She was certified in Massachusetts as a Residential Energy Auditor, supervised weatherization and lighting crews for Kemper Management, managed the Small Business Energy Advantage Program in the eastern region for Northeast Utilities, and is currently studying for Certified Energy Manager and LEED AP certification.
